 We are currently 8 - 1 at NFL picks since season started but rarely took OVER / UNDER picks. But week 11 looks really tough and bookies made good job with handicap. So we will go for OVER points on Sunday afternoon when winless Lions travel to face rock solid Panthers.
  Ok, Detroit is bad, they lost nine in a row, but still, this team slightly improved recently as last five defeats were in relatively close games. If you remember, we backed them with halftime handicap vs Bears and they even had chance to win game at Soldier Field. Coach Marinelli confirmed new signing veteran quarterback Dante Culpepper will start like last week in defeat vs Jaguars. Well he was as expected, inconsisten but some details showed he can still deliver.
   Carolina needs opponent like Detroit. They played awful in match vs helpless Raiders last weekend and quarterback Jake Delhomme had nightmare game. He threw four interceptions, completed only seven out of 27 passes for miserable 72 yards. Still there was big gap in quality between two teams so solid defence by Panthers was enough. It was their seventh win of the season and Carolina took over at top of NFC South.
   However we expect much better performance here and Panthers are favourites, they would win but we think Detroit offence is improving lately and they created some problems to better teams lately. In our opinion they will be able to take at least 15 points here so line of 40 points look low. Yes, Panthers are really solid defensive team but Lions are not bad as maybe their record suggest.
   So, Panthers would win but instead chasing tough handicap, we will go for points here.
